For Wives Only, or any Woman Who Dares

A good marriage is similar to a classic dance routine:  think Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers…think classical dance contests as seen on  television with great, well known music.

The man leads, the woman follows his lead, and the choreographer determines the steps, tempo, and dance arrangement.

Now think Adam, Eve and God – The Word.  You will find peace, …Serenity.

PRAYER FOR SERENITY
God, Grant me
SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change,
COURAGE to change the things I can, and
WISDOM to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will…
So that I may be reasonable happy in this life
and supremely happy with You
forever in the next.
AMEN

Description

Author Edna Stigger accepts the Apostle Paul’s Challenge to be a woman of God. (Titus 2:3-5) Now married almost 56 years, her marriage is excellent, and her husband deserves 51% of the credit because he persevered. At 22 years, knowledge of a marital dilemma took her in a suicidal tailspin. She went nuts, but he wouldn’t leave!

Once born again, she transformed and spiritually matured. In poignant detail, she tells the stories that led to the prose and poetry which sustained her through growth experiences of sorrow, suffering, grief, unconditional love, forgiveness, and the miracles of God’s grace and mercy.

For Wives Only… is a testimony and learning tool to perseverance & unconditional love that every wife…or woman who dares should read, …and wise men!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”    Hosea 4:6

To “LET GO” takes LOVE   –  To “Let Go” does not mean to stop caring, it means I can’t do it for someone else. To “Let Go” is not to cut myself off, it is the realization I can’t control another. To “Let Go” is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.  To “Let Go” is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. To “Let Go” is not to try to change or blame another, it is to make the most of myself. To “Let Go” is not to care for, but to care about. To “Let Go” is not to fix, but to be supportive. To “Let Go” is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being. To “Let Go” is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies. To “Let Go” is not to be protective, it is to permit another to face reality. To “Let Go” is not to deny, but to accept. To “Let Go” is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them. To “Let Go” is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes, and to cherish myself in it. To “Let Go” is not to criticize and regulate anybody, but to try to become what I dream I can be. To “Let Go” is to not regret the past, but to live for the present and the future. To “Let Go” is to fear less and to love more!
